Below you will find answers to some frequently asked questions – if you require any further information, please contact us here.

Why do we need presentation skills?
Presenting is not a talent – it is a skill that can be learned and improved upon. Everyone has to give presentations at some point in their lives, whether presenting yourself at an interview, communicating with your team in meetings, pitching to potential clients to win new business or making a speech in front of a big audience.

Presentation skills are critical to the success of your employees and therefore your organisation. When your employees present, they represent everything that you offer, and everything that you are. Audiences do not separate the message and the messenger.

Why invest in CPD for your team?
More than ever, organisations need to invest in training their best talent in order to compete. CPD can help organisations of all sizes to retain employees, engender a fully motivated workforce and boost productivity. By identifying and addressing skill gaps you can increase organisation wide performance. There is simply no substitute for all key employees being in the same room, learning the same skill set at the same time. The result is truly greater than the sum of the parts involved.

What is "Coaching"?
Coaching is a partnership between coach and client which aims to inspire the client to maximise their personal and professional potential. Pitch use lessons learned in the world of elite sport to help clients recognise their strengths and use them to find their authentic voice.

Coaching is usually delivered 1:1 or in groups. The sessions will look to identify key goals and objectives and help the client explore ways in which they could set about achieving them. Pitch are very big on experiential learning and as such we’ll give you ample opportunity to perfect your pitch in live practice sessions, sometimes with an audience, sometimes on video, but always in a safe environment.

Our process involves a lot of questions and no criticism - our place is not to judge, only to help the client reach their full potential. We will listen objectively and provide observations, act as a sounding board for new ideas and concepts, encourage clients to challenge themselves and others, help foster new ways of thinking and challenge blind spots.

Why should I choose Pitch?
We don’t do off the shelf - we know the coaching process is unique to each individual or group, so whilst The Presentation Course has a structure, we always speak with your HR/Management teams ahead of delivery to make sure we fit the course to your business requirements.

Coaching is our career - we’ve been coaching high performance athletes for many years, helping them achieve things they didn’t believe possible on the biggest stages. Now our goal is to help you do the same.

It’s not about us - we’re not here to judge you or to make ourselves look good, the only thing that matters to us is that participants in our sessions leave with a greater skill set and more confidence than they arrived with.

You learn best by doing - we create a safe environment for participants to explore and experiment with different presentation styles, we’re not going to sit and lecture you, we’re all about doing.

How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions required varies by every client, the size/length of their particular goals and how engaged they are with the process. Our group product, The Presentation Course is delivered as a one day CPD course. Our Bespoke Solution presentation packages take a more focussed approach, working directly with the client to help them develop a specific presentation - perfect for a business with a vital pitch coming up. Our “Full Monty” package takes care of everything - Pitch will write and deliver your full presentation for you. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What about confidentiality?
We will maintain professional boundaries in the coaching relationship. We aim to create a safe, risk free environment for coaching sessions to allow the maximum openness and learning/development to take place.
